ACTA - Pedro Leote Mendes

He was born in Faro in 1969 and lives in France from 1976 to 1988. In 1987, he integrates a musical group, with young Portuguese emigrants, participating in several animations in the Paris region. He gets in the course of Cultural Animator (TUC), completing his training in 1988.
That same year, he decides to settle in Faro, and participates in various musical projects as a musician, composer and performer, being a founding member of the projects Fundo Perdido (Pop Group 1988-1994) and Las guitarras Locas (acoustic trio).
In 1991 he returnes to France, trains as a security professional and works at stores like Christian Dior, FNAC, becoming head of security at FNAC Librairie Internationale in Paris.
In 1992 he returns to Portugal and becomes interested in sound, which he learns by himself, and starts working in several companies, as a sound technician.
Since 2000 he belongs to the board of the Sociedade Recreativa Artística Farense.
Between 2001 and 2002, he acts as a sound technician at the Rita Ribeiro Theatre Company, in the show of homage to Amália Rodrigues Amar Amália by Óscar Branco. He continues to work as a freelancer on various art projects and sound companies. Since 2009 he acts as designer and sound technician in ACTA.
