Auto da Barca do Inferno

It’s a staging of the Auto da Barca do Inferno, by Gil Vicente, specifically intended for students. This project has a daring stage direction which chose to introduce to viewers, not only the work of Gil Vicente, but also different aesthetics from Asian theatre, such as Kabuki, Noh, Beijing Opera, or even the Commedia dell'arte.
In this project, as in life, all are angels and all are devils. Questions are brought up to be discussed between actors, students and teachers, since it is intended that this production is not just an illustrative piece of the Portuguese Language class program, but also, from this absolutely relevant objective, to be a hub of discussion and dialogue with the actors/characters in the play.
